The Miami Heat’s NBA Finals journey has been impressive as it highlighted their resilience and Jimmy Butler made sure his teammates knew he was proud of their effort.

Taking to Instagram, the Heat star recorded a video message thanking his teammates. The post also included a carousel of images featuring Butler and the rest of the unit.

“Hella proud of our guys this year. As we always try to achieve our goals, I think it’s very important not to lose sight of the journey and all the great times we have had together this year. Love you guys and appreciate y’all. Here’s to a couple more.”

The lavish praise is surely well deserved considering the Heat made the NBA Finals with their existing roster that missed Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo to significant injuries.

Butler led from the front this season, averaging 26.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in the playoffs, and was central in their offense. However, it wasn’t enough to see the Heat through against the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals.

That said, the team is looking forward to ringing some changes in the offseason and has already explored trade options. They were looked at as one of the prime suitors for Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard, and it remains to be seen if they can get their hands on the latter, with the Phoenix Suns trading for Beal.

Jimmy Butler Is Confident That The Heat Can Win A Championship With Him In The Future

Despite failing to lift the silverware twice in his career, Butler is still supremely confident about his chances of winning a ring with Miami.

“It’s been great,” Butler said during the postgame conference. “I’ve had some hell of teammates come through here and compete with me and give us the opportunity to win a championship. I still believe with everything in me that we will do as a team here, as an organization, as a city in Miami.”

He added: “The four years have been great. It’s always great to be wanted and loved and appreciated. I don’t think that’s gonna change but for the time being… I’m grateful man that we made it here.”

Butler will be central to the Heat’s chances of winning a title in the days to come. He will surely be an immovable asset, but the Heat will need to give him another star to ease his burden and add more teeth to the team on both ends of the floor.
