Veteran NBA official Eric Lewis has found himself in hot water recently after it emerged he might have a burner account on Twitter. The NBA world has been in shock over this controversy surrounding the official and Patrick Beverley has something to say about it.

Beverley took the opportunity to remind everyone that they were laughing when he brought a camera to the court to show Lewis the egregious missed call in a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

“Laughed at me when I grabbed the camera yea aight ‍♂️”

The game took place on the 28th of January when the officials missed an obvious foul committed on LeBron James as he was attempting a game-winning layup. James was furious after the call was missed and Beverley took the camera to Lewis after that to show they missed the call.

Beverley was given a technical foul for it by Lewis who admitted after the game that the referees just missed the foul on James. The Lakers felt they got cheated and LeBron kept going at the officials for quite a while in the days and weeks after that game.

LeBron James Also Reacted To The Eric Lewis Controversy

Considering the events of that night, it perhaps isn’t much of a surprise that the two prominent names to have reacted to this issue are two men who played for the Lakers in that game. LeBron couldn’t believe this Lewis story as he wondered out loud on Twitter if it was actually true. The NBA is taking this issue quite seriously, as they have opened an investigation into Lewis.

This is just not a good look for the league and you wonder what kind of punishment Lewis might be facing here, as the NBA would want to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again. This has just been a very rough season for Lewis, who has had to deal with allegations of him favoring the Celtics as he and his family are apparently fans of the team.
