Superstar LeBron James’ longevity is absolutely unparalleled, and he has had a lengthy and productive career in the league. He has been a member of a number of teams throughout that time, including the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers

The version of LeBron James currently on the Lakers is very different from the player we saw during his time with the Cavaliers. Stephen Curry revealed that James is playing a “different style,” noting that the superstar is “shooting a lot more threes.”

“You have to reflect on everything that we’ve all gone through since the ’15 Finals and just appreciate the opportunity to have another chapter in that battle and that competition,” Curry said, per Jovan Buha of The Athletic. “Obviously, once the ball drops, it’s a different feel just based on how the Lakers play versus the old Cavs teams and even just a different style that he’s playing a little bit. He’s trying to come at you a little differently and space you out a little bit. He’s shooting a lot more threes and stuff like that. It’s just a little different vibe.”

Thus far in the playoffs, it seems as though LeBron James has been willing to take a backseat to co-star Anthony Davis and be the No. 2 option on the Lakers. He has been playing through a foot injury, so this course of action makes sense.

This postseason, LeBron James has averaged 22.1 PPG, 11.0 RPG, and 5.0 APG. Though he has been solid, the Lakers will need to see him score just a little bit more, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

Draymond Green Also Thinks LeBron James Is Playing A Different Style Of Basketball

Warriors forward Draymond Green has previously expressed similar sentiments to Stephen Curry about LeBron James, claiming that James is playing a “different game than we’ve ever seen him play before.”

“LeBron is playing a totally different style, a totally different game than we’ve ever seen him play before,” Green said. “And it is interesting figuring it out. It’s very interesting, you are not used to seeing LeBron off the ball so much and so I thought that was interesting and something that we’ll have to adjust to. It’s just not your typical LeBron running the show, which is a bit weird.”

Throughout his career, LeBron James has been known as a ball-dominant player, and there’s no doubt that his willingness to play more off-ball has thrown defenses off. It will be interesting to see if the Warriors can, in fact, adjust to the new style of play, and if anyone can do it, it’s their championship-caliber defense.
