Domantas Sabonis is thriving on the Sacramento Kings despite being surrounded by doubts at the start of his tenure with the Kings. The fact that he was traded for Tyrese Haliburton was a big deal for some fans within and outside the organization.

Fortunately, Sabonis has found his place in the world and is doing just fine in Sacramento, forming a terrific tandem with De’Aaron Fox. They’re now trying to lead the Kings to compete for big things. Right now, they rank 5th in the Western Conference standings, looking like a solid candidate this season.

Sabonis and Fox have played a big role in that, and the point guard has nothing but praise for his teammate. We already knew how great the former Pacers player was, but he’s taken his game to the next level this season. Just like Doma praised him, now Fox has returned the favor.

De’Aaron Fox Is Really High On Domantas Sabonis

After the 2x All-Star decided to play through an injury, everybody praised him, including his head coach and teammates. Fox was one of those who showered the Lithuanian-American player with good words. He even went on to say that Sabonis belongs to the elite of the league when it comes to big men, putting him in the middle of the two best centers in the NBA right now.

“For me, it’s (Nikola) Jokic, (Joel) Embiid, and (Sabonis). Those are the top three centers in the league“, Fox confidently stated, via EuroHoops.

In 33 games played this season, Sabonis is averaging 18.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game. He’s shooting 62.8% from the field, 45.0% from beyond the arc, and 74.0% from the free-throw line. He’s having a career year, and the Kings are taking the most advantage of that.

This man is doing incredible teams in Sacramento, and the beam is getting lit consistently, which has made fans happy. Sabonis needed a change of air, and he’s thriving now on his new team. Who would have thought? Only the Kings’ front office.
