The New York Knicks are once again disappointing their fans, despite ranking 8th in the Eastern Conference standings with an 8-7 record. The 2022-23 NBA season didn’t start the best way for the New Yorkers, as they suffered some big losses, including a 145-point beatdown by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Knicks are not that team that shocked everybody in 2021, making it to the playoffs as a top-4 squad in the East, but they are working to get things right now. Julius Randle is showing flashes of the player that carried the squad last year and that makes fans dream about the resurfacing of the team.

However, the front office might be thinking of making some big moves to improve their level and be able to compete against the top squads in the East. So far, they’ve struggled to reach that level, but things could be changing at Madison Square Garden.

Derrick Rose And Immanuel Quickley Could Leave Knicks

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Knicks are willing to make some changes in their backcourt, and Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley could be out soon.

The Knicks have shown a willingness to discuss Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley in trade talks, league sources say, as a way to sort out the team’s glut at the guard position over the course of the season.

After the addition of Jalen Brunson, the Knicks have a clear picture of the point guard position, but now they have a lot of pieces in that position and need to part ways with a couple of them. Derrick Rose has already shown his discomfort with his current role on the team, saying that he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Tom Thibodeau has been heavily criticized for the way he’s coached Rose and the rest of the Knicks this season. He’s on the hot seat according to reports, but if the Knicks continue with their good form, that situation could change.
