LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers picked up a big victory last night, coming back to defeat the Utah Jazz in a much-needed win. The Lakers were able to put away the Jazz and enter the All-Star break with some positive momentum. But as has been the case with the Lakers, their win came with a major setback.

During the game, Anthony Davis suffered a pretty serious ankle injury. Davis looked to be in a lot of pain, as his ankle rolled pretty severely. Davis had to be helped off the court, and he did not return to the game at all. All reports suggest that Davis will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.

But if LeBron James is to be believed, it does not look good for Davis and his ankle injury. After the game, LeBron James spoke during the post-game press conference about Davis’ injury. He noted that he saw Davis on crutches during half-time of the game against the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers will be hoping that Anthony Davis’ ankle injury is not as serious as it looks and that the rest he will get thanks to the All-Star break will allow him to get some much-needed rest for his ankle. The franchise will be keeping a keen eye on his MRI report when Davis is re-evaluated on the Monday after the All-Star break.

LeBron James even said in the post-game press conference that he has never had a season quite like the one he and the Lakers are having right now. While fans were upset about AD’s injury, they were thrilled to see the Lakers show the fighting spirit they haven’t seen throughout the season, and help the team get the win against a good team in the Utah Jazz.

The hope will be that they can continue and capitalize on this momentum they have by stringing together wins and good performances. The Lakers don’t have a lot of time left, they can salvage the rest of the season if they play well until the playoffs begin.
