Derrick Rose is currently playing for the New York Knicks, giving the team solid minutes in a backup PG role. Though he has fallen out of the rotation, he could potentially contribute to a contending team if he gets traded by the Knicks in the future.

The veteran point guard is most well-known for his time with the Chicago Bulls, with Derrick Rose notably winning the 2011 MVP award. He is the youngest MVP in NBA history, and some believe that he should be in the Hall of Fame in the future.

Recently, Derrick Rose was asked about the possibility of him making the Hall of Fame. Rose had a philosophical take on the situation, claiming that in “200-300 years” no one is going to care if he’s in the Hall of Fame.

Derrick Rose with a deep take on the possibility of making the Hall of Fame. He said he’d love it, but added, “Can someone in here name a famous gladiator? I’m saying it in a way that like in 200-300 years, nobody is going to care about what went on.”

There is no doubt that this is an intriguing take, and it is clear that Rose understands that the passage of time may leave even the most popular stars as distant memories. Regardless

The Dallas Mavericks Are Interested In Acquiring Derrick Rose

There have been a number of teams that have been linked with a trade for Derrick Rose. He is definitely a big trade candidate for the New York Knicks, and the Dallas Mavericks are reportedly interested in acquiring him.

“The Mavericks, of course, lost [Jalen] Brunson to the [New York] Knicks last summer and are in desperate need of a second playmaker to relieve All-Star point forward Luka Dončić,” Bucher wrote. “They’ve brought on a former Knick, Kemba Walker, for a test run, but a league source said they also have interest in a current one, the aforementioned Rose.”

The Dallas Mavericks definitely need more ballhandling and offense, and Derrick Rose would provide that. He could also be a source of experience in the locker room, and be a veteran leader for the team.

Hopefully, we see Derrick Rose end up on a championship-level team in the future. There’s no doubt that a championship would be a great boost to his NBA resume, and we’ll see if the New York Knicks send him elsewhere before this upcoming trade deadline.
