The Atlanta Hawks will be pushing on to Game 6 against the Boston Celtics in their first-round matchup after Atlanta won Game 5 119-117.

Even with Dejounte Murray out with a suspension, the team rallied around Trae Young, who dominated the game. Fans were stunned to see the Hawks pull this crucial win off.

Jayson Tatum had a rough outing and fans were quick to mock him.

Bill Simmons wasn’t a fan of how Joe Mazzulla coached the game down the stretch.

Fans mocked Tatum for his excessive Kobe Bryant fandom in the playoffs.

More fans were happy to see Jaylen Brown continue to deliver at a high level when his team needs him.

Fans did a thought experiment to see how Tatum would do if he had to carry the Heat the way Jimmy Butler has been.

Trae Young dominating Jayson Tatum on the C’s home floor was not something many expected.

Trae Young’s game-winning three was a sensational shot.

His fourth-quarter takeover is what enabled the Hawks to take the win.

Trae Young scored 38 points with 13 assists and scored the game-winning bucket to be solely responsible for this win. John Collins had a strong 22-point outing after a dismal playoff run so far. Jaylen Brown did everything he could with a solid 35 points, but his co-star Jayson Tatum had a rough game, scoring just 19 points on 21 shots.

Can The Hawks Do It Again In Game 6?

The Hawks will be going home for Game 6 and will have the services of a returning Dejounte Murray. Hopefully, that gives them the spark they need to push this series to seven, an outcome not many expected. The Celtics were supposed to be title favorites, but the Hawks have exposed many flaws in the way they’ve been operating on the court.

Atlanta needs another offensive explosion for Trae, as we know he’s capable of having really poor shooting efficiency games, which ends up drowning his team. Trae has averaged 29.0 points, 10.2 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in the playoffs. He’s been on a strong run after struggling early in the series.

Given the trade rumors around Young, he will be motivated to prove the world wrong by upsetting the Boston Celtics in the first round.
