Jayson Tatum Shows Off Huge New Back Tattoo

2 Min Read

Getting tatted up is a common practice for NBA players making millions of dollars. These players have the funds to get whatever they want and Celtics star Jayson Tatum is no exception.

On Instagram, he unveiled his newest work, a back tatt saying “Gods will” and a reference to Proverbs 3:5-6 below it.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

The idea is to trust in God and have him guide your path rather than trying to do things completely on your own. Here, it seems Tatum is preaching a lifestyle of reliance on God. He must be a man of faith.

Aesthetically, the thing covers a pretty big portion of his back. The wording is well done and all-in-all it looks pretty good.

On the court, Tatum is doing miraculous things. Averaging 22.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on 44% shooting, he is the face of the Celtics’ future. At just 21-years-old, the sky is truly the limit for him.

This season, he will help Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown lead the Celtics through a long postseason run. We’ll see how it works out for him…
