LeBron James is starting a new quest for the NBA championship, but first, he needs to get past the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.

Kevin Garnett believes James had high expectations coming to the Lakers, claiming that LeBron is playing in Kobe Bryant’s shadow, but he didn’t show a desire to surpass the Black Mamba.

“I don’t wanna harp on this too much, but it was a disconnect that I caught,” the NBA legend said about James. “It wasn’t a desire. It wasn’t a, ‘Go get this ball.’ L.A. used to — Kob (Kobe Bryant) going to get the ball, playing hero. I hate to say that, but I’m calling a spade a spade. That’s the shadow he in. And he didn’t go get it. He didn’t have that drive.”

LeBron has won a championship with the Lakers, but the rest of his playoff appearances weren’t that successful. After winning the NBA title, the Lakers were eliminated in the first round and then missed the postseason.

This campaign, the Lakers look strong enough to make it to the semifinals, but the competition is stiff in the Western Conference.

Stephen Jackson Says Scouting Reports Are Working On LeBron James

Another NBA champion, Stephen Jackson, recently said that scouting reports are finally working on LeBron. This started happening after 20 years in the league, which was completely expected.

James is really from another planet and his performances this season only confirm that he’s not slowing down anytime soon. The King is ready to keep winning and this season presents a big opportunity for him.

The Grizzlies are the first obstacle for the Lakers, but LeBron is confident he can get past the young team. The situation will get harder after that, but as long as the King remains healthy, the Lakers will be a problem for anybody.
