The 2022-23 NBA season hasn’t been really kind for the Los Angeles Lakers by any means. While the 38-year-old LeBron James has been having a great season, the Lakers’ record certainly doesn’t reflect that.

Following their most recent defeat against the Boston Celtics, the Lakers have fallen to a 23-27 record and are in the 13th spot in the Western Conference. But was that defeat really fair to how the Lakers played?

LeBron James had a chance to seal the game for the Lakers during the final possession of the matchup. James was fouled by Jayson Tatum, and the game was sent to overtime. Unfortunately, the clear foul on LeBron wasn’t called, and the referees even admitted after the game that they missed the crucial call on the King.

NBA Fan Urges LeBron James And Anthony Davis To Sit Out Games

This isn’t the first time that the Lakers have been potentially cheated out of a win this season. In fact, if the referees hadn’t missed out on these calls, they would have been the sixth seed in the West.

Keeping that in mind, an NBA fan on Twitter wants LeBron James and Anthony Davis to protest against the referees potentially rigging games against the Lakers by sitting out games.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis should not play until the NBA fixes it’s rigged games against the Lakers.

While seeing their favorite team not getting these marginal calls in its favor is frustrating for fans, urging the two best players of the team to sit out games is certainly not the right solution.

After all, the 2022-23 NBA season is still far from over. There are still 32 games left to be played in the season, and all the Lakers need to do is string together a 10-game winning streak so they can get back in playoff contention.
