LeBron James sent Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase a special gift, which included a pair of ‘Fruity Pebbles’ Nike LeBron 4 Vapor Edge cleats, along with a customized box of Fruity Pebbles cereal, which features his name on the box. He unboxed the gift and showed everything off on Instagram.

James has previously revealed that Fruity Pebbles are his favorite cereal, with multiple collaborations between his Nike shoe and the cereal company over the years taking place.

Chase is a 23-year-old rising star in the NFL and plays in James’ home state, so he was bound to recognize his talents and connect with him. Now the question is, will we see Chase rock the shoes in a game against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday? The shoe is expected to be available to consumers in Spring 2024.

LeBron James Is An NFL Superfan

LeBron James will probably be the kind of retired NBA player who watches way more football than basketball after his retirement. Unless he stays in contact with the game as a coach for his sons or a team owner, I won’t be surprised if James maximizes his time interacting with the NFL, whether it’s sharing predictions every week, playing Madden, or just watching every game

James has previously said his fan allegiance lies with the Dallas Cowboys before switching his team to the Cleveland Browns after the Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones’ stance on players kneeling during the National Anthem.

“Nah man, I had to sit put on the Cowboys man. It just a lot of things that were going on when guys were kneeling, guys were talking about freedom of speech and doing it in a very peaceful manner. A lot of the people in the front office and the organization were like, ‘If you do that around here, you won’t play for this franchise again.’ I just didn’t think that was appropriate. I still love the players on the team, I love CeeDee Lamb, our boy Zeke, Buckeye, and I still mess with him. I love Micah Parsons, he’s a dog. I had to turn it to him even with all the love I have. I am all in on the Browns.”

Given that Jones’ Cowboys were among the two NFL franchises that wanted James to come test his raw athletic talent out in the NFL during the 2011 lockout, it surprised many to see him cut ties with the franchise. At least his Browns are giving him something to cheer for, currently sitting 6-3 on the season and looking to outpace the Ravens and Steelers to control the AFC North.

Naturally, he’ll be hoping Chase’s Bengals can take a win off the Ravens this week. He won’t be rooting for too much success for the Bengals, as they’re just a game behind the Browns and could usurp them in the standings with a winning streak.
