Perhaps no franchise in the NBA had as many all-time greats play for them as the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have boasted some of the greatest players in the history of the sport, which has allowed them to become the most successful team in the history of the NBA along with the Celtics.

Currently, the Lakers’ biggest star is LeBron James, who has an argument for himself to be the greatest player of all time. And even though he isn’t at the peak of his powers, he is still playing at the highest level of the game and is one of the best players in the world right now.

The Lakers’ incredible history has seen some incredible players. But what would an all-time Lakers team with 1 player from each roster look like? Instagram page Ballrsnation tried to visualize this, and the team looks absolutely incredible.

The squad had Magic Johnson from the 80s at point guard, 2000s Kobe Bryant at shooting guard, 2020s LeBron James at small forward, 70s Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at power forward, and 90s Shaquille O’Neal playing at center.

Fans reacted to this potential team, noting that this would be impossible to defeat for any other franchise putting out a similar team. But some objected to LeBron James’ inclusion, noting that Jerry West would be a more apt inclusion given LeBron only has played for the Lakers for 3 years as of now.

The Lakers have truly had some iconic stars play for them in each and every decade of their existence. Whether it was Jerry West in the 60s, Magic Johnson in the 80s, or Kobe Bryant in the 2000s, the Lakers have had some of the most legendary figures in the league’s history.

The Lakers have consistently been in the championship mix in every decade they have been in the league. In fact, the Lakers are the only team in the NBA currently to play in an NBA Finals in each decade since the conception of the league in 1946.

The Lakers will be looking to add to their history by winning a record 18th NBA championship next season. Shannon Sharpe has said the current Lakers roster, at full health, are unbeatable next season.

With LeBron James leading the line and some talented veterans surrounding him, they are considered one of the favorites to win it all next year.
