In 2022, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole were both key members of the Golden State Warriors championship-winning team. Draymond Green was once again the defensive anchor for the team, while Jordan Poole played the sixth-man role and provided shot creation and ballhandling off the bench.

The two were obviously involved in an altercation prior to the start of the season, and obviously, that situation involved Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole. However, it seems as though the two have made up since that incident, as a recent video surfaced of the two seemingly enjoying a conversation at shootaround.

If the relationship between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole is truly on the mend, then that only means good things for the Golden State Warriors. Obviously, chemistry is important for any championship-level team, and resolving any conflicts is key to having good chemistry and cohesion with one’s teammates.

Perhaps this development means that the Golden State Warriors will have a winning run in the near future. They recently beat the Memphis Grizzlies at full strength, and it’ll be interesting to see how they do when Stephen Curry returns from his shoulder injury. They have a really high ceiling as a team, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them win this year’s championship as well.

The Key For Both Draymond Green And Jordan Poole Is Winning A Championship With The Warriors

In the aftermath of the punch, Jordan Poole claimed that he and Draymond Green were planning on “handling” things as professionals, adding that they were on the team to “win a championship and keep hanging banners.”

“[Draymond Green] apologized and we plan on handling ourselves that way… That’s really all I have to say regarding the matter. We’re here to win a championship and keep hanging banners.”

It is clear that Jordan Poole’s biggest objective this season is to win games with the Warriors. While the team hasn’t been a top-tier seed this season, they could still potentially make the playoffs as they are still in a play-in position. However, that is understandable since the team has been ravaged by injuries to key players.

When Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins come back, the Golden State Warriors will obviously be a contending team. They have to figure out how to stay afloat until key players return. Both Jordan Poole and Draymond Green will need to be a part of the solution, and it’ll be interesting to see how the Golden State Warriors will fare in the coming weeks.
