The Los Angeles Clippers entered this season with high hopes and expectations after signing Kawhi Leonard and completing a trade for Paul George.
However, it still feels like their team is lacking another playmaker or a rim-protecting big man, as neither Ivica Zubac or Montrezl Harrell can hold their own vs. top-tier centers.
Moreover, while Patrick Beverley is a top-notch defender, he’s not exactly the average playmaker and ball-handler, so their offense looks slow at times and they rely way too much in isolation.
So, with Harrell bound to be a free agent and they looking to upgrade the point guard position, perhaps they could put together a package centered in them plus Jerome Robinson and Moe Harkless. But, who should they pursue? Let’s take a look:
Dennis Schroder

Dennis Schroder deleted all of his posts on Instagram and took the Oklahoma City Thunder out of his bio, so rumors grew about a potential move out of the team.
He’s been one of the league’s top candidates for Sixth Man of the Year. Averaging 19.3 points, and 4.1 assists, on 47% shooting (38% from three), he’d be a major upgrade for the Clippers, while the Thunder could trade away Steven Adams and get more picks knowing that they’d have Harrell, while still competing for a spot in the playoffs this season.
Andre Iguodala

There’s been a bit of a feud going on lately between Andre Iguodala, the Memphis Grizzlies, and even the team’s young players; as Andre is reluctant to join the team because he wants to play for a championship contender.
It doesn’t sound like the Grizzlies will buy Iguodala out so they must find him a trade partner pretty soon, and the Clippers would make perfect sense here. He’s not exactly a shooter, but is one of the best defenders in the world and a much better playmaker than people credit him for.
Andre Drummond

Andre Drummond has repeatedly claimed that he’s looking forward to playing for the Detroit Pistons for his entire career. However, the team looks ready to move on from him as they look to rebuild.
Drummond is bound to become a free agent and keeping him may be tricky considering they already have George and Leonard on their payroll. However, they’d be getting the best rebounder in the league, a top-notch rim-protector, and a huge threat in the pick-and-roll.
Derrick Rose

We’re just rooting for Derrick Rose to win his first NBA Championship. He’s wasting his talent with the Detroit Pistons and they have no business keeping him if they’re going to hit the drawing board and go through another rebuilding process.
Rose is a perfect fit for the Clippers because of his drive-and-kick skills. Also, he’s been playing at his best since the start of the season, and this move would prevent the Lakers from making a run at him. Thus far, he’s averaging 18.5 points and 5.8 assists per game, his highest averages since his MVP campaign.
