Superstar Nikola Jokic is the best player on the Denver Nuggets, and there’s no doubt that he’s been having an incredible playoff run thus far. The team is in the NBA Finals, with a legitimate chance of winning their first championship.
There is no doubt that this has been Nikola Jokic’s most dominant postseason thus far, and perhaps part of it is because of a change in mentality from past years. In fact, Mike Malone has recently revealed that Jokic now has a “business-like approach to basketball.”
“I think as the years have gone on he’s definitely matured…not that he was immature, I’m not saying that he was just goofin’ off all the time, but he has a great personality. He doesn’t take himself too serious, and when you walk through a locker room and all the guys are hanging out and talking to each other and having a good time, I think that speaks to how together and connected that group is. But Nikola has matured, he hasn’t changed who he is at his core, but he definitely, during this time of the season has very much a business-like approach to basketball.”
“He’s always been kind of light-hearted and funny. I think as the years have gone on, he’s definitely matured. Not that he was immature… He has a great personality, he doesn’t take himself too serious… During this time of the season, he very much has a business-like mindset.”… pic.twitter.com/xvcswcf9Q4

There is no doubt that Nikola Jokic is locked in as of right now, and hopefully, we see him finish the job and get a championship with the Denver Nuggets. The team definitely has the talent to do so.
This postseason, Nikola Jokic has averaged 29.8 PPG, 13.1 RPG, and 10.5 APG going into Game 2 of the Finals. The Nuggets will need him to keep up this sort of offense to win the Finals, and he definitely seems up to the challenge.
Draymond Green Believes The Denver Nuggets Are Locked In
It seems as though the Denver Nuggets are following their leader’s mentality. Previously, Draymond Green pointed out that the Nuggets are “not messing around” and are “locked in.”
“Denver is not f******g around,” Green said. “They not playing with their food. Not playing with the breakfast. They eating their meal, getting it out the way. They did it in the first series, did it the second series, and definitely did it the third series. And they did it tonight. Everybody’s like, ‘aww man they in the layoff they’re gonna be tired.’ That’s a team that’s not messing around. Them guys been in the gym, you can tell. They came out guns blazing, locked in. That’s a team that’s locked in. I know the look of a team that is locked in.”
Being locked in when on the highest stage is important, and based on the talent level of the roster, this series should be a win for the Denver Nuggets. However, they shouldn’t underestimate the Heat, and anything can happen in the Finals.
