  • Anthony Edwards could make plays other players simply couldn’t

Shooting guard Anthony Edwards is widely considered to be the best player on the Minnesota Timberwolves, and many are high on the young star’s potential. There is no doubt that Edwards could become a special player going forward.

Recently, superstar Stephen Curry revealed that he knew Anthony Edwards would be special after the guard took part in his camp. Curry noted that Edwards had a huge “competitive presence” and made plays that none of the others could. Kameron Hay of Complex relayed the news.

“Anthony Edwards, for sure. He just had a different demeanor and different competitive presence out there on the court during our camp sessions and even in the showcase game that we had. There were just plays that he made that nobody else really could. So I think that most people who watched that year would have had a lot of confidence in the fact that he’d be who he wanted to be.”

Anthony Edwards has already been selected as an All-Star, and the sky is the limit for the young guard. The Timberwolves should prioritize building around him, as they seem to have a future superstar on their hands.

This past season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game, while shooting 36.9% from 3PT range. It’ll be interesting to see if Edwards can make the All-NBA team next season, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

Anthony Edwards Has Huge Expectations For The Minnesota Timberwolves This Season

One of the things that consistently stands out about Anthony Edwards is his supreme confidence when it comes to the game of basketball. In fact, Edwards has high expectations for the Minnesota Timberwolves, noting that the team wants to win 50 games during this upcoming season.

“We wanna win 50 games this year… We just want all the things that’s supposed to be. We’re gonna work for it. This year, we’re gonna be a lot better.”

It remains to be seen if the Minnesota Timberwolves will end up winning 50 games next year. A lot of that will be on Anthony Edwards’ shoulders, as he is the face of the franchise right now. Hopefully, we see him have a stellar individual season, and the Timberwolves definitely have the talent to get far in the Western Conference.
