Tensions have been running high in the series between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings ever since Game 2.
Draymond Green stomping on Domantas Sabonis kicked things off and it would appear a few fans completely lost the plot after Game 3, as they fought outside Chase Center.
Security had to get involved to separate them as the situation got really ugly. You hate to see scenes like this one and there is no update yet on what led to it or whether any action will be taken against these individuals.
Safe to say that at this point, both sets of teams and fans don’t particularly care about any sort of Northern California brotherhood, if they ever did in the first place. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had been bizarrely asked before the series if these teams facing off in the playoffs was a win for Northern California and he had made it clear he only cared about his own team, a sentiment that would be shared by everyone involved.
The Warriors Have Had A Lot Of Complaints
The defending champions have not been happy at all with the way things have gone in this series. They were furious that the NBA had suspended Draymond for Game 3, as they felt the ejection in Game 2 was sufficient punishment. The Warriors have been also been unhappy with the way Sabonis has been playing, as they feel he has been shoving people on offensive rebounds, playing with his elbows out, and using the ball as a weapon on offense.
Golden State looked to be in deep trouble when Green was suspended for Game 3 but they put in a statement performance to blow out the Kings. Stephen Curry led the way with 36 points while Kevon Looney had 4 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 assists. Green will be back for Game 4 and he will be looking to make amends with a strong showing to level up this series.
