The rivalry between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors is bound to get more heated at the end of tonight’s game between the two franchises.

After exchanging some fiery words over the last few days, Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks decided to get into an on-court scuffle after Brooks hit a layup on Green.

This game has been a thrilling contest so far. It looked like the Grizzlies were going to run away with the win, leading the game by nearly 30 points. However, the Warriors just trail by 7 points at the end of the third quarter. They will look to get a crucial road win against their rivals, but the Grizz has enough to keep them at bay for the rest of this game.

Green and Brooks clearly don’t like each other. Thankfully, neither of them took a swing at the other after the play and just squared up. Everyone understands the stakes both teams are playing with this late in the season. The actual statement will be made by whichever team takes home the win.

The Warriors At Risk Of Missing The Playoffs

If the Warriors lose tonight, they’ll fall to a 34-33 record. This will tie them with the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves for the same season record and keep them just 1.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers in 9th place. With the Lakers getting D’Angelo Russell back, they are looking even more formidable.

The Warriors may have the upper hand on their rivalries with the Grizzlies, but getting eliminated from the play-in tournament will not be an ideal way for them to end the season and maintain their superiority over the younger team. Golden State entered tonight as the 5th seed and a loss may cause them to fall all the way to the 8th seed.
