The news of LeBron James‘ oldest son Bronny suffering a cardiac arrest while practicing with the USC Trojans shocked NBA fans around the world earlier today. The 18-year-old is stable and out of the ICU, but the harrowing story has fans concerned about the James family.

Bryce James became the first one to share something on social media after his parents released a statement, sharing a picture of his elder brother with a heart in the middle.

Bryce And Bronny James

This was an expression of love from Bryce, who wants to see his elder brother recover and continue fulfilling his dreams. Dealing with this can’t be easy as a brother. Even though Bryce is a public figure, he is still a teenager. Thankfully, the news around Bronny’s condition has been optimistic, though underlying causes are yet to be revealed.

Everyone will be praying for a full recovery for Bronny James so he can hit the court and continue dazzling the world with his skills on the court.

Bronny’s Basketball Future

Bronny was projected to be drafted in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft but now deals with a massive setback. There has been no information about his cardiac arrest beyond it happening and his being healthy enough to be out of the ICU. Whether the incident had any lingering effects is unclear, but the news is bound to come out as the family knows for sure and is comfortable sharing the same.

Recovering from this and returning to the court won’t necessarily be an easy process. USC saw Vincent Iwuchukwu suffer a cardiac arrest in July 2022, with the player not getting on the court until March 2023. The severity of Bronny’s condition is unknown, but everyone will be hoping his basketball career can continue to thrive.
