They have a strong roster whose success will be tied to the health of their three main offensive weapons in Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal. The Phoenix Suns will head into next season as one of the favorites to compete for the title due to their top-heavy squad and relatively solid depth behind them. Injuries will rule their season, as they need their top stars to remain healthy to be competitive. Durant hasn’t been healthy throughout a season in years, while Beal and Booker both missed a lot of games last season.
The Lakers and Nuggets are the only two complete rosters in the West, though Denver has been dealt some heavy blows with the departures of Bruce Brown and Jeff Green. They still have a young core that now has a title under their belt, so beating them will not be easy next season.

They brought back all their major free agents and are going to be a tough out for teams like the Suns, who don’t have the depth required to have a strong 82-game campaign. Ultimately, it’s the final 16 wins that matter, and Phoenix looks exceedingly deadly in that situation.
