Throughout the season, there is no doubt that Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been dealing with a number of off-court issues. There were notably multiple incidents with firearms.

Previously, we saw that Ja Morant and his friend Davonte Pack were accused of beating up a teenager at Morant’s home, with there being a warrant issued for Pack’s arrest. According to a recent report from Baxter Holmes of ESPN, Pack has now been arrested.

“Tennessee law enforcement on Wednesday arrested Davonte Pack, a longtime close friend of Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant, for misdemeanor assault for hitting a teenager at Morant’s house last summer, an altercation that has ensnared Morant and those close to him in an ongoing civil lawsuit.”

“In a May 2023 deposition taken as part of the lawsuit filed by Holloway that accuses Morant and Pack of assault, reckless endangerment, abuse or neglect, and infliction of emotional distress, Pack admitted to striking Holloway but added that he “did not feel threatened at the time he struck Holloway in the head area knocking him to the ground,” according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office arrest warrant issued last week for Pack, which ESPN obtained.”

The lawsuit notably involves Ja Morant, but it doesn’t seem as though the star is going to be detained anytime soon. Still, this is a situation that Ja Morant needs to resolve as fast as possible.

Davonte Pack Revealed That Ja Morant Owns A Gun Under Oath

There is no doubt that the main reason Ja Morant has been the center of controversy was due to his brandishing firearms on social media. Previously, Davonte Pack admitted under oath that Ja Morant owns a Glock 40 gun.

“Pack also said under oath Morant owns a Glock 40 gun but the gun used in his second Instagram Live incident was actually a lighter,” Mark Gianotto of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Hopefully, Ja Morant stays out of trouble in the future. He needs to show accountability and take the steps to better himself, and hopefully, he can come back better than ever for the Memphis Grizzlies following his 25-game suspension in the 2023-24 season.
