Kevin Durant has no interest in staying with the Brooklyn Nets unless the Governor of the team, Joe Tsai, acquiesces to certain demands by the star. Those demands primarily function around the dismissal of GM Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash, and Tsai has already said he will stick by his front office and coaching staff.
KD used to have a problem with being vocal about dissatisfaction on the teams he is on, as evidenced by him being quiet during his time with the OKC Thunder. Many people were surprised at KD’s decision to leave the team as he hadn’t expressed dissatisfaction with the team. But his frustrations came out for everyone to see from his own Twitter account in 2017.
As a member of the Warriors, KD went to the replies of a tweet asking why he left OKC and responded to the same from a burner account where he referred to himself as a third person and said he didn’t like the organization and couldn’t win a championship with the teammates he had. Those tweets accidentally went out from Durant’s main account and showed to everyone that KD used to reply to tweets as himself on burner accounts that can’t be linked to him.

That experience changed Durant’s approach to Twitter, as he started saying whatever he wanted to on his main account. At least he owned up to whatever he wanted to say rather than hiding behind burner accounts.
His current situation with the Nets has been handled behind mostly closed doors, as KD hasn’t tweeted anything about his frustration with the team. However, Governor Joe Tsai has taken to Twitter with an apparent shot at KD after insisting he won’t fire his GM or coach.
Durant may still have burner accounts from his older days that he actively uses but at this point, it is hard to see him care as much for petty Twitter arguments that he can’t put his name to. KD already admitted he was being petty when he sent these tweets about Westbrook and Donovan, openly apologizing for the same as well.
He is one of the most unabashed superstars in the game and always speaks his mind, which is a respectable quality even though it leads to massive problems for the player.
