Though Stephen Curry is generally known as a fun player who often exudes joy when he plays basketball. However, there are other times when his competitive side comes out, and that is what happened against the Phoenix Suns.
When the Warriors faced off against the Suns, we saw Stephen Curry trash-talk Chris Paul, telling the point guard that it’s not 2014 any longer. Recently, Curry explained why he decided to do that, revealing that “it’s all competition”.
“It’s all competition. You play against somebody for so many years, the love I got for him and our history”, said Curry.

There is no doubt that Chris Paul is one of the best point guards to ever play the game, and it is clear that Stephen Curry loves to compete against him. Any matchup between the two is bound to be great, especially since they’re both on teams that are Western Conference contenders.
Stephen Curry is averaging 29.6 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 6.3 APG for the Golden State Warriors this season. Though he has been injured for a large portion of the season, we all know what he can do when he’s healthy. Hopefully, we see him help the Warriors put together a stretch of winning games, and we’ll see what ends up happening in the future.
Stephen Curry Is Still Confident In The Warriors’ Championship Chances This Season
With Stephen Curry playing at a high level and firing on all cylinders, the Golden State Warriors can win a series against most teams in the Western Conference. In fact, Stephen Curry previously claimed the Warriors can be a “tough matchup” for any team that they face.
“So, there’s just a lot that we’re trying to deal with and still stay optimistic about where we’re headed because until we get beat, we still feel like we’re a tough matchup for anybody. And that’s the confidence we have to have down the stretch and headed to the postseason,” claimed Curry.
Though the talent level is there, the Warriors need to do well over this last stretch of the regular season. The team needs to try and get a home-court advantage ahead of the postseason this year, as they are a much better team at home than on the road. We should never underestimate the reigning champions no matter the seed however, as these Warriors have proven to be resilient in the past.
